to buy or not to buy, that is the conundrum

So the US is in a recession, or not, depending on who you ask/listen to. The housing market is a buyer's paradise meaning it sucks to be a seller. Even rich folks like Jose Coanseco (worthwhile note, rich != smart/upstanding) are walking away from their mortgages making it that little bit harder for the regular folks to get decent rates.

Other than fun political banter, what's this got to do with the price of eggs? Nothing, really, we're talking about houses here :D The wonderful Mrs. Reese and I snagged a very cool condo a few years ago but with the arrival of little Reese said condo is getting smaller by the month. I did not remember taking up so much space as a kid! Were the toys smaller, fewer or what?

There are some really nice houses out there on the market, even some brand spanking new townhouses with very cool amenities available to those living in the community but how does one get free of the current mortgage to take advantage of current low rates and lower price tags? Sometimes it seems to suck when you try to be fiscally responsible, don't take more loan than you can handle and refuse to walk away from obligations to chase the next carrot.

So, should we take the plunge? Let's ask Harry!
