Achy Breaky Wrist update

Almost a month ago we at work got a TPS style memo indicating that pc components that were not work-owned were verboten, which, as stated, is fine, no worries. The clincher was that my last doctor wouldn't give me a note to get an ergonomic keyboard because I didn't have carpal tunnel or anything, just the beginnings of arthritis. (which is oh so much better?) So HR was ixnay on the keyboard while I was sans note. Now with this work-only memo my personal ergo kb that's been on my desk these past few years is in mortal danger unless my new doc can give me a better note than the one signed "Epstein's mom". Doc to the rescue! Note was faxed the day it was requested and lo and behold, HR was able to order, receive and get to me the new kb in a day or so!

but (did you sense the impending but?)

It's now time for good news/bad news! The pc on my desk is old and slow and due for an upgrade. After many moons of calls to the IT folks, we're all getting new PC's in the next month or so! w00t! However, the new machines can only use USB keyboards and, natch, my new company owned ergo KB won't work with it. (my personal one wouldn't either but that's moot, the hope was that there would be communication and foresight enough to buy a compatible keyboard the first time)

So for now, I'll throroughly enjoy a nice new, clean, springy key keyboard and be thankful for it :)
